Simple camping storage ideas that make packing faster, keep your gear protected, and help you spend less time searching and more time camping.

🏕️ Camping Storage: Less Clutter, More Time Enjoying Camp
Hello campers! 👋
There’s nothing quite like getting to camp, opening the back of the truck, and realizing the one thing you need is buried underneath everything else.
Camping gear has a way of multiplying. Flashlights, batteries, cooking supplies, tools, first-aid gear, tent stakes, chargers—you can end up digging through three different bags just to find one little item.
A good storage system doesn't need to be complicated. The goal is simple: give everything a home so you know exactly where to find it.
📦 BUILD A SIMPLE CAMP STORAGE SYSTEM
One of the easiest ways to stay organized is to separate your gear by purpose.
For example:
• Cooking gear in one container
• Tools and repair supplies in another
• Lights, batteries and electronics together
• First-aid and emergency supplies where they're easy to reach
• Personal items and clothing in your backpack
When you get home, restock anything you used and put the containers away. Next time you decide to go camping, most of your gear is already packed.
🚙 KEEP THE IMPORTANT STUFF EASY TO REACH
Think about what you might need before camp is completely set up.
Flashlights, bug spray, a first-aid kit, basic tools and rain gear shouldn't be underneath your tent, chairs and everything else you packed.
Keep frequently used and emergency items somewhere you can reach without unloading the entire vehicle.
🌧️ PROTECT YOUR GEAR
This is especially important for dispersed camping.
Dust finds its way into everything, and an unexpected rainstorm can turn loose gear into a mess quickly.
Hard-sided containers are great for smaller items that you want to keep organized and protected.
And that brings us to one of this week's gear picks...
⭐ CAMP STORAGE PICKS
🎒 Camping Backpack
A good backpack is useful even if you're not backpacking into your campsite. It's an easy way to keep personal gear, extra clothing and other essentials together—and you can grab it when you head away from camp for the day.

📦 Ammo-Style Storage Boxes
These have become one of my favorite simple camping storage ideas.
Ammo-style boxes are compact, sturdy, and great for organizing smaller gear that would otherwise end up scattered around the vehicle. Buy a quality box, and it should be weather- and dustproof as well.
Use them for things like:
• Batteries and flashlights
• Fire-starting supplies
• Tent repair gear
• Small tools
• Charging cables
• Emergency supplies
Label a few boxes, and you'll always know exactly where everything is.

💡 QUICK CAMPING TIP
Make a small "don't leave without it" container.
Keep the things that could ruin a trip if forgotten—flashlights, batteries, fire starters, basic tools and other essentials—in one dedicated box.
Instead of rebuilding your camping kit before every trip, simply check the box and restock anything that's missing.
It makes those last-minute Friday afternoon camping trips a whole lot easier.
🌲 FIND SOMEWHERE TO USE ALL THAT GEAR
Once you're packed and organized, you just need somewhere to go.

📬 QUESTION OF THE WEEK
What's the one piece of camping gear you ALWAYS seem to lose?
Hit Reply and let me know. I'm curious whether everyone else spends as much time looking for flashlights and tent stakes as we do!
See you out there!
